Life Vision

The opening of The Distributed Life — what I'm building my life toward, and the essays that explain each part of it.

How I see things

This anthology is not a theoretical academic dissertation, nor is it an armchair self-help manual. It is the unfiltered operational record of a life lived across transit corridors, university exam halls, isolated mountain valleys, and compute clusters. For years, I lived distributed across the geography of Sri Lanka: carrying my entire existence in a tactical backpack, studying engineering and artificial intelligence on rattling trains, funding every luxury and enduring every lean week through my own labor, and retreating into ancient monasteries and mist-shrouded valleys to defragment my mind.

How I see things is that we are living through an unprecedented civilizational inflection point. The comfortable illusions of the late twentieth century—passive credentialism, lifelong corporate security, and narrow specialization—are dissolving under the pressure of artificial intelligence, geopolitical realignment, and macroeconomic disruption. To survive and conquer in this volatile century, you cannot afford to be fragile. You must become a kinetic multi-hyphenate: an operator who can write autonomous code and haul physical gear, who understands first-principles engineering and respects two-thousand-year-old civilizational granite, who walks into five-star ballrooms without impostor syndrome and shares tea with railway porters with genuine reverence.

The vision, in five parts

1. The Internal Crucible — Solitude, Sickness & Self-Funding

2. The Frontier Builders — Musk, Luckey, Murati, Anthropic, Meta & Scale

3. Kinetic Logistics & Cognitive Leverage

4. The Border-Crosser — Social Dynamics & Human Fluidity

5. Macro Futures, Sri Lanka's Horizon & Civilizational Anchors

Where it shows up today

  • Building — agent platforms, research and live sites, documented on this portfolio.
  • Leading — media coverage, community work and speaking, even before English felt comfortable.
  • Travelling — guiding travellers and moving around the island, the backdrop of most of these essays.
  • Stillness — retreats to Mandaram Nuwara and Mahamevnawa between the busy stretches.

The operating rule

Across these twenty-five long-form essays—spanning five thematic volumes and more than 25,000 words of personal reflection and rigorous frameworks—I have codified my life operating system. Every blog has been crafted at full essay length (~1,000 words), documenting real wounds, real trials, and real breakthroughs. May these pages serve as your tactical field guide to sovereignty, antifragility, and high agency.
