Google Agent Development Kit (ADK)
Multi-Agent Workshop
Practical multi-agent orchestration workshop demonstrating Helpdesk and Trip Planning agents with Google ADK.
Overview
A developer-oriented repository and workshop curriculum demonstrating foundational and advanced design patterns using the Google Agent Development Kit (ADK). The codebase contains two complete production agents: an Enterprise Helpdesk Agent (triage, ticket classification, knowledge base retrieval) and a Multi-Leg Trip Organizer Agent (budget constraints, dynamic itinerary synthesis).
Design decisions
The choices that shaped the system, and why.
- 1
Structured Multi-Turn State Management
Demonstrated how to persist agent conversational memory and tool-execution history cleanly across multi-step user dialogues.
- 2
Modular Educational Separation
Designed as an open-source reference guide with minimal dependencies, allowing new developers to understand Google ADK paradigms in minutes.
Architecture
ADK Agent Runtime
Structured agent loops utilizing Gemini models for intent recognition, state retention, and multi-turn conversation.
Tool Calling & Grounding
Defines declarative tools for database queries, calendar scheduling, and external API calls.
Memory & State Persistence
Implements session state management across multi-step user interactions.
Extensible Architecture
Clean, modular project structure designed as a reference implementation for enterprise agent development.
DevOps & deployment
Executable as serverless cloud functions on Google Cloud Functions or AWS Lambda.
Features
- Comprehensive step-by-step workshop tutorials for onboarding developers to Google ADK.
- Helpdesk ticket triage with automated severity scoring and canned response suggestions.
- Trip organizer agent with real-time constraint checking and multi-day itinerary output.
- Clear documentation and reproducible environment configuration.
